I recently tried to install a web site traffic statistics plug-in for this blog. The plug-in failed for some reason, and after a few failed attempts at getting it to work I gave up and deleted it. As curious as I was about how much traffic I was getting, I realized that I had never really investigated what posts on this blog people are reading and why. I do have the ability to track hits to my site, so I know there are a few more than just my close friends reading.

So dear reader, I want to know! What have been your favorite posts? What would you like to see more of? Why do you come here and read this blog?

Go on, leave a comment!

I’ve been doing a little research for a photo-montage project and wanted to share some of the best photo-montage videos I came across.

These first two are somewhat typical of the recent montage videos. With the newer DSLR camera’s snapping off quality rapid fire photos, there’s a lot of these quasi-time-laps things. Part of me wants to just call them video montages, but they are built from stills and they are quite good. My only criticism is that I think they’re a bit long. If they were half to three-quarters in length I would have enjoyed them a bit more. There’s only so much jittery video I can take!

While this next one isn’t a photo-montage, I thought it was very interesting and it put some ideas into my head.

And of course, the ultimate photo-montage video. This is from Chi Alpha’s missions program. This is how I originally wanted to do the project, but the client wisely asserted that we didn’t have the time. Hats off to the creators of this clip. The man-hours involved in producing this must have been staggering, but well worth it. I’m inspired.

It’s not out of lack of interest, I’ve seriously been seriously busy. There are a number of things coming up on the horizon that I will share in time, for now you’ll have to make due with these paltry tidbits.

- The Dr. Toboggans web-series pilot is almost finished and on track for it’s mid-October premiere.

- I’m STILL about to sit down and polish off Plain Jane, Nate vs. The World… and now The Glass too. Lots of polishing going on. I’ve decided there’s not much sense in trying to move on if you haven’t finished what you started… even if you started it over two years ago.

- DangerCouch! stuff MIGHT get polished up and re-released, including stuff not previously released on the internet (ie. Episodes 6 and 9, the 2007 show and dare I say… episode 2???)

- I have my first speaking engagement booked. How exciting!

I’ve been meaning to post this for months, but it’s been one of those things that I keep forgetting to do. The week after I got back from Indonesia I did a short presentation at my church to show them a little of what I did and where I was, and also to show them the fruit of their giving. This is a recorded podcast from my church Town Square Vineyard. Regrettably you can’t see the slides, but if you poke around my facebook photos long enough you should be able to find most of what I was discussing.

Click here to hear me yammering on at my church!

Again, I have to say hats off to the Indonesian media teams. They endured hours upon hours of English instruction in very complicated multi-media software. They were always upbeat, excited and quick to learn. It reminds me how much I take my privileged American life for granted. Remember, God blesses us so we can in turn bless those around us.

Thank you to everyone who stepped out and supported this trip. If you’d like to see some of the materials these students are turning out after a three week crash course, follow these purdy links:
